OUT ON COURT! Alliance Badminton Club

Most Sundays at 6.30pm – 8.30pm members of the Alliance Badminton Club meet for a few games of badminton in Northampton.

Men and women are invited to come and play in this group and the members are of mixed playing ability.

The cost is £30 for each 13 week block. For new members, the first session is free and then it is £3 per 2 hour session if not paying for a 13 week block.

ADVANCE NOTICE!

On Sunday 15th April 2007, the Northampton Alliance Badminton Club are doing a 12 hour sponsored "Badmintonathon" in aid of local charity, Tools for Self Reliance, Northampton. It will take place at Lings Forum Leisure Centre.

For this to be possible, we need as many people as possible to make up numbers during the day, playing as few or as many games as they would like. There will be 6 core players, comprising mostly of club members, who will be sponsored and therefore have to be there for the 12 hours.

Anyone else wishing to help out by joining in, can come along anytime during the 12 hours (8.30am - 8.30pm) and pay £1 for each game you play, all of which will go directly to the charity. All standards of players welcomed, 2nd half of the day will probably be where you are most needed!

We are also hoping to hold a raffle / tombola in the reception area at Lings Forum to raise some additional money, where Tools for Self Reliance will also hopefully be putting on a small display demonstrating the work they do. If anyone has anything they would like to donate as prizes for the raffle / tombola, that would be much appreciated.
